My favorite local stamp store is Impress Rubber Stamps. I could spend hours there and honestly, I have. I get a lot of inspiration and ideas just by visiting. I also love to take classes at the store and have a hard time leaving without buying something.
Not too long ago, I was in the Tukwila store and saw that they had some of the new Smash items in stock. And amoung the new product was this brilliant and simple card using the Black Dots Smash tape, a little twine, a couple stamps, and some kraft card stock. I couldn't resist copying the idea for a couple of birthdays in October:
Quickie instructions:
Just fold the tape over the twine, sticking the tape to itself. Cut a "v" into the bottom to creat a banner. Tie a bow or knot on the ends of the twine, optional (I made one with bows and one without). Glue down the banner in a couple spots. Stamp "Happy Birthday" in Memento Black ink and put the birthday girl's (or boy's) birthday date on the the bottom. Done!
