Wow! I haven't posted in quite a while. But I have a bunch of cards lined up to share. So, here's the first of the bunch. I love this little red bird sort of "in-layed" into the patterned paper. Here's the pic:

I'm currently taking the Online Card Classes Kick Start Class. So, I'll be posting this card there, as I was inspired by the tips from class to create this card from one I already had. I really liked the felt pom pom flower, but it was attached to a "Thank you" card and I needed a birthday card. So, I took my favorite piece of the card and came up with something completely different for a birthday card. Anyway, here it is...
I have a lot of thank you cards to make for all the help I received and continue to receive with the move to my new house. I finally got enough unpacked to actually use a lot of my card/scrapbook supplies and I also received my recent SSS card kit. So, I was inspired to create. Here's what I came up with:
The "With Love" background is actually made of washi tape adhered line by line to some white card stock. This card was inspired by one that Kristina Werner made for the kit. (The washi came with the kit but it looks like you can also get it separately here.) I "popped" that up with some dimensional adhesive and adhered the patterned paper "ribbon" on top.
It is a little difficult to see in the first picture, but I added some Diamond Glaze to the heart to give it some dimension and shine as well:

We have a new baby in the family! Baby Helena was born to my cousin Sarah and her husband, Kris, on May 24th. I wanted to send a card of congratulations and was inspired by the Young Crafters Unite Challenge: Many Layers and my new SSS monthly card kit for July. Here's what I created:

I created this card for my brother-in-law for Father's Day. Simple & masculine...

At work, my team will be getting a new person. We have someone transferring from Portland, OR, up here to Seattle. So, to try to make her feel welcome, I made a card that we all signed. Supplies listed below.
I cut the umbrella top out of some Lawn Fawn patterned paper from the Bright Side Collection. It was included in the April 2012 Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card kit. The Bubble Dots were die cut into the front piece of cardstock. I used the Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife to knock out all of the little "dots". I placed a strip of the POW glitter paper behind the dots to create "rain". (Learned that technique/idea from the amazing Julie Ebersole in a local card class. In fact, this card is very similar to the one created in class, I basically put the rain & umbrella on the opposite side of the card and changed the sentiment.) I thought the card was very appropriate for someone moving to Seattle.

This card looks a little like it belongs in the winter holidays, but again, found this while packing things up. I did not design this card. It was actually a "Make-and-Take" from an event at Impress Rubber Stamps, but I love how it's so clean & simple, with a little sparkle and dimension. And I wanted to document the inspiration here.
I also remember a couple of the supplies that were used...

I made this card a while ago, but found it while packing for the big move (a couple of weeks back). I thought I'd take a moment to share it. (Sorry about the blurriness/quality of the photo.)
Quickie instructions: I stamped the background with clouds in Island Fresh Ink. Stamped what is technically a "wave" in order to have a rather large bold flourish. Punched some flowers out of inked up paper and adhered the centers to the card. I folded up the petals to give it a bit of demension. Stamped the "celebrate" in the upper right corner and finished the card with some pearls.
